BIOGRAFIA

Fabiano Parisi è nato nel 1977 a Roma, dove vive e lavora. Decide di dedicarsi alla fotografia circa quattro anni fa, mentre sta ultimando i suoi studi universitari in Psicologia. Le fabbriche dismesse costituiscono da subito il suo soggetto privilegiato. La sua ricerca fotografica punta l’obiettivo sui luoghi abbandonati e ai margini, sull’estetica di queste strutture architettoniche private della presenza umana, congelate in un passato ma capaci di narrare una storia.

Parisi partecipa alla 54. Biennale di Venezia, Padiglione Italia – Regione Lazio presso il Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Venezia a Roma. Nel 2010 è il vincitore a New York del Celeste Prize International nella categoria fotografia. Ha esposto le sue opere in diverse mostre personali, tra le ultime, nel 2011 al festival di fotografia FotoLeggendo a Roma, alla Galleria Glauco Cavaciuti a Milano, nel 2010 al Museo di Roma in Trastevere, con la mostra Il mondo che non vedo. Nel 2009 alla Fabbrica Borroni a Milano, poi a Torino e Roma. Sempre nel 2009 viene selezionato al Celeste Prize International nella categoria Installation & Sculpture con l’installazione fotografica (R)esisto.

 

 

 

BIOGRAPHY

Fabiano Parisi was born in 1977 in Rome, where he lives and works. He decides to devote himself to photography about four years ago, while completing his university studies in psychology. Abandoned factories become immediately his privileged subject. His research focuses on the abandoned places, the aesthetics of these architectural structures deprived of human presence, frozen in the past but capable of telling a story.
Parisi has exhibited at the 54th Biennale di Venezia, Italian Pavillon at the Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Venezia, Rome. In 2010 is the winner for Celeste Prize International in New York, in photography & digital graphics category. He has exhibited his works in several solo show, including the latest in 2011 at the Photo Festival FotoLeggendo in Rome, at the Glauco Cavaciuti Gallery in Milan. In September 2010 with the show Il mondo che non vedo at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere. In 2009 at the Fabbrica Borroni in Milan, then in Turin and Rome. Also in 2009 he was selected for the Celeste Prize International in the category Installation & Sculpture for the photographic installation (R)esisto.
